Claremont Gear/Swag

Posted by Claremont Lacrosse at Dec 11, 2023 10:47PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Parents – apologies for the delay in the original orders placed way back in Sept but…I thought I had lots to fill but there were more orders than I had extra stock for so …while I fill those original orders from Sept (no point in sending in a new order form/email unless more is wanted) I thought I’d put it all out for all the families that may want some Claremont gear

Rather than use an order form I took some pics and will do that way. This is not a fundraiser and I will charge the cost I pay for all items. For most of the pics I can/will order as needed – unfortunately they won’t be here in time for Xmas but I will place an order Fri and they will be here early in the new year

From the pics in the attached doc:

Hats – $20 (the pic with only 3 in it those are the last ones, for the pic with 6 I have approx 25 and easy to order more)

Toques (Red/Black) – $15

T’s $18 – red, grey, and Blue can get all. The white ones I only have an L and XL (unisex)

Hoodies (Russell – unisex) $40 – grey, black, red – can order all

UA Hoodies – ladies (grey or blk) $65 or 70

UA ¼ zip (blue) – only 1 small – $35

Adidas blue ¼ zip (I think $45ish)
Grey UA ¼ zip – $70

Golf shirts (UA blue only a few left – $60), Red/black – $60

Light blue heather UA golf shirt – $60 only 1 Med and 1 large left (can not get more)

Please pass orders along by this Fri – you can pay in the New Year when the product arrives. Email me at dreisig@saanichschools.ca

thx – Darren

A huge congratulations to Claremont Coaches Darren Reisig and Scott Browning on being inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Class of 2023!! This is a much-deserved recognition for both of them and all they have done for the game.

From the CLHOF website:

Honoured in the Player Category

Darren Reisig
Over the course of his storied career, Darren Reisig has contributed to the success of teams in Jr A, Sr A, and professional box lacrosse. In addition to these Darren has played in two World Championships with Team Canada in 1984 and in 1988.

Darren’s Championship events included the 1988 World Championships Silver medallists; 1988 Esquimalt Legion Minto Cup Champions; 1997,1999, 2003 Victoria Shamrocks Mann Cup Champions. Darren also was a member of 3 professional NLL teams (2002-2004 Vancouver Ravens; 2004-2006 San Jose Stealth; 2007 Portland Timbers).

Honoured in the Builder Category
Scott Browning

For more than fifty years, Scott Browning has dedicated himself to the sport of lacrosse and he epitomizes the popular expression “grow the game.” Browning has tirelessly given himself to the sport, at every level, from Minor to Junior A and World Field & Box Championships and in the local, provincial, national, and international lacrosse scenes.

Scott started his playing career with the Esquimalt Lacrosse Association at the tender age of 5. He excelled in the sport through his Minor lacrosse years, Junior A and Sr. A box careers. Although a talented box player, Browning found his true calling in the field version of the game. As a member of the Victoria Seaspray/Waxmen, Scott was a key member of eleven Canadian Field Champion teams and sixteen BC Provincial Champion teams and from 1989 to 1991, he represented Canada as a member of the National Field team, capturing the Silver Medal at the 1990 World Championships.

Late in his successful playing career, Browning turned his attention to administration and coaching in both box and field lacrosse; his coaching career has spanned more than thirty-five years (and counting) and has positively impacted well over a thousand athletes. He has been Head Coach of a number of BC Provincial Field teams and coached at the Junior A level (Assistant Coach, Victoria Junior Shamrocks) and Head Coach of the Intermediate A Shamrocks in box.

Among the many highlights of his coaching career are assignments from 1998 – 2000 as Head Coach of the Canadian National U19 Team with a World Championship Silver Medal performance and again, in 2012, as Assistant Coach Canadian National U19 Team, winning the World Championship Silver Medal.

Scott’s coaching style and mentorship has served as a positive role model for these athletes and has helped many of his players reach the top echelon of the sport. As a testament to this, more than 70 of Scott’s former players have progressed in their lacrosse careers to play in the NCAA, with many progressing to play professionally in the National Lacrosse League &/or the Premier Lacrosse League. Further, 5 former players have represented Canada in Men’s Field and/or Box Lacrosse.

In addition to his contributions as coach, he was a Contributing writer for CLA Field Technical Level 1 program and a Contributor to CLA Field Competitive Coach Development Program.

From 2013 to 2020 to Scott was the Head Coach of the Hong Kong Men’s Lacrosse Program, covering development programs for both players and coaches, and Representative Field and Box teams who competed at the World Championships (2014 and 2018 in Field and 2019 in Box) and the Hong Kong U19 Men’s Field Team that competed at the 2016 World Championship. During this time, Scott played a major role in the development and growth of lacrosse in Hong Kong and SE Asia as the Hong Kong field and box teams competed in a number of international tournaments including Australia, Germany, Czech Republic, Taiwan, and Thailand.
